Grants
The Foundation offers four
types of grants:
- Competitive
- Donor
Directed
- Professional
Development
- General/Individual
Grant
Application. (PDF format)
COMPETITIVE
GRANTS
Competitive
Grants are awarded once per calendar year
during the Foundation's grant cycle and allow
applicants to submit projects for which they would
like to receive funding. Based upon the
requirements of the competitive grant, the projects
are reviewed and actually 'compete' for funding.
DONOR
DIRECTED GRANTS
Donor
Directed Grants are offered throughout the
calendar year and are funded with gifts made by
various donors. The grants are awarded to
programs or projects in which the donor has an
interest. The following are the Donor Directed
Grants awarded to date.
PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT GRANTS
Used for continuing education or staff training, Professional
Development Grants are awarded one time per year to faculty and staff
members of Tri-Creek Schools.
To date, all of the
funding for our professional development grants has
been from a competitive grant opportunity offered in
2003 and 2004 by the Indiana Association of
Public Education Foundations, or INAPEF.
Because our Foundation is a member of INAPEF, we are
able to participate in their annual competitive
grant program offered exclusively to its members.
INAPEF offers its
members a chance to submit a grant application
describing one project or program for which the
Foundation is requesting funding. INAPEF's
Grant Selection Committee reviews applications
submitted to them from public education foundations
throughout the state of Indiana to determine which
projects will receive funding.
GENERAL/INDIVIDUAL
GRANTS
Awarded for use in
special circumstances, which may or may not occur
during the Foundation's grant cycle, General
Grants are awarded at the discretion of the
Foundation's Board of Directors.
